Introduction


More than twenty years ago I was introduced to the spiritual guidebook known as “A Course in Miracles”. Prior to that, my values were always based on the Golden Rule, as learned from my father. As an adult I was agnostic regarding the purpose of my existence. The meaning of life.

What I read resonated with me, although it took many readings to perfect my understanding, which is not yet complete. The purpose of the blog is to support my own learning. If the thoughts I share seem intriguing, follow my blog to their source.

I became active on Facebook simultaneously with the commencement of this blog. With some caution, I joined two Facebook groups where The Course in Miracles is discussed. I do not recommend this for new students. Devotees of The Course are very passionate, and all do not agree. Caveat; After adopting the methods and discipline of ACIM; every "judgement" made must be evaluated, because the ego is always involved. The text itself advises against interpretation. Once again because the ego and perception are involved. And can be trusted to give bad advice. A Course in Miracles

From the Preface: "As its title implies, the Course is arranged throughout as a teaching device. It consists of three books: a 669-page Text, a 488-page Workbook for Students, and a 92-page Manual for Teachers. The Workbook includes 365 lessons, one for each day of the year. Although Christian in statement, the Course deals with universal spiritual themes." For years I have tried to identify the most meaningful passages that effectively summarize its meaning.
